Taylor Wimpey began development of Phase 14a & 14b in September 2014.

The enabling works consisted of cut and fill exercise to achieve desired formation levels on the 14b parcel. MML installed an access road for construction traffic. Each plots required levels were achieved using GPS to within a tolerance of 50mm. The site was segregated using heras fencing, 14b was then handed over so groundwork’s could commence. The 14a Parcel required bulk excavation accommodate an underground car park. Under the CL:AIRE code of practice soils were excavated, hauled and deposited in an engineer bund close to junction 14 on the M1. Once bulk of materials had been removed MML demobilised whilst sheet piling of the perimeter could be placed to support the 5 meter dig. Once the piling completed MML remobilised to complete the muck away exorcise. Over the life span of project circa 17,000m3 were removed from site.
